"Humanizing" a drum pattern inside of a sequencer is a common trick among artists and recording engineers after a rhythm is created within the computer, but does it truly sound "natural?" The Bernstein Center for Computational Neuroscience at the University of Göttingen have discovered that statistical laws are at play even within perceived biological motion.
