Sunday, December 7th, marked a tremendous landmark for a southern California record store named, "
Dr. Freeclouds" which has celebrated their 20th year! This is remarkable for a store that sells music mostly in a vinyl format, especially in this day-and-age. As many other music stores fought to remain afloat after the digital boom, Dr. Freeclouds made some adjustments to sell more than just electronic music, and continued on for years as well as creating an online presence. Dr. Freeclouds was created and run by one of the godfathers of the southern California DJs, Ron D. Core, and his wife Helen Dedmon. They are now even planning another
No-Doz event, a popular after-hours party they created in the 90's, and with vinyl sales on the rise, we will hopefully see many more years to come!
