NAMM, the International Music Products Association, began in 1901 and here we are in 2011. Today, thousands and thousands of people gathered together from all over the world in Anaheim, California. This Thursday was the first of four exciting days to share new innovative ideas, business strategies, music hardware, software, instruments, gadgets, and most of all, their love of sound. Some of the visitors included: Vic Firth, founder of Vic Firth, Inc.; Jon Haber, founder and owner of Alto Music; Bob Zildjian, founder of Sabian Cymbals; Ikutaro Kakehashi, founder and president of Roland Corporation; Sam Ash, chief operations officer of Sam Ash Music Stores; Mike Huckabee, TV commentator and former Governor of Arkansas; Bobby Roberts, manager of Bobby Roberts Company, Inc.; and Bernie Williams.
