Play live while utilizing the effects in AmpKit on the iPad.
Some of their apps include:

Jammit:

Jammit for the iPad is a teaching tool which allows you to practice a song through reading digital sheet music and/or playing along. Each song contains the master tracks so you can see exactly how the song is built. You may begin with one track of the song if you'd like or play all of them at once. When viewing a single track, it will even show you where the verse, chorus, bridge, etc. is located within the song. What a great learning tool!

fotoh LCC:

Sample Lab is fotoh LLC's new fully featured sampler/sequencer for iPad. Switch between two main screens for easy music making with quick access functionality to tools such as accelerated quantization.
