CEPA - the Center for Electronic Performance and Art & M.I.A. - Machine Inspired Art present ConCon - The world's first Controller Convention, July 19th, 20th and 21st at M.I.A. Gallery, downtown Los Angeles.
ConCon offers workshops, demos and discussions during the day featuring N.I., Abelton, Livid Instruments, Numark and many others, with performances at night by Moldover, Daedalus, Henry Strange, Laura Escude, Strella, and many more.
The workshops and talks cover topics such as Building Your Own Controller (BIY), MAX/Monome setups, the History and Future of Controllerism, and Light Theremin Construction with Moldover, just to name a few.
Softwareand hardware companies will give hands-on demos during the day and be on hand with display tables featuring their best products. Also, we will have daily giveaways featuring
the best in gear and software, with Ableton Gig Bags (with full
versions of Live 9), a few amazing controllers from Livid Instruments,
and several pieces of gear from Novation!
