NAMM 2013: IK Multimedia

IK Multimedia has been in existence now for over 17 years after beginning in a small town in northern Italy named Modena. They now have more music apps available on the app store than any other and this year they have some exciting new hardware products. We were able to get a sneak-peak at what's new this year while their primary booth was still being built.

In the picture above, you will see the iRig Keys, a MIDI keyboard that can be connected directly into your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or iPad mini! It has 37 keys, all velocity sensitive with pitch and mod wheels currently connected to their famous sampler, "Sample Tank," which allows you to hold up to 1,000 sounds! To the right is the iRig BlueBoard, another MIDI device and a first of its kind for iOS. Place it on the floor and you have a pedalboard to control any virtual parameter within an app. And in the center, you'll see iLoud which is a wireless speaker allowing you to connect to Apple or Android devices. It also acts as an amplifier with a 1/4" jack in the rear for you to connect your guitar or mic. Designed for the portable musician and a flat response output for studio monitoring, this is quite the speaker!
